Problem

Many of users have faced difficulties receiving refunds for payments made outside our platform. This often involved waiting for external transfers and dealing with multiple steps. To streamline this process and give more control, we're thrilled to announce Robinhood Wallet.

Robinhood Wallet keeps everything in one place, eliminating the need for external transfers and multiple apps. This means a smoother, faster, and more centralized financial experience for you.

Not everyone can use all the features of Robinhood Wallet yet. Due to regulations, users need to complete a verification process called eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) to unlock all functionalities.

Here's a temporary solution to help in the meantime, we've created a virtual account called Robinhood Credit. This allows users who haven't completed eKYC to receive refunds directly within the app, addressing a major pain point. You can use Robinhood Credit to

- Receive refunds: Get your money back directly from any service without needing an external transfer.

- See transactions: Track all your refund activity within your account.Transfer to your bank: Easily move your refunded money to your personal bank account.

- Pay for services (limited): In some cases, you might be able to pay for services directly from your Robinhood Credit balance. (Note: Functionality might be limited compared to a fully verified wallet).

Once you complete the eKYC process (which involves verifying your ID, taking a profile picture, and confirming some personal information), your Robinhood Credit account will be upgraded to a full Robinhood Wallet.
